Plan your stay at Punga Cove. Find out where we are, when to check in and other important information.

Getting here

Getting to Punga Cove is easy – by boat from Picton, by foot or mountain bike on the Queen Charlotte Track, by helicopter from anywhere.

The Queen Charlotte Track passes directly through lodge, and we are a popular overnight or lunch stop for walkers and mountain bikers.

To get here by boat from Picton, book your transfer on a Cougar Line scheduled sailing or by direct water taxi transfer. The scenic journey through Queen Charlotte Sound/Tōtaranui takes about an hour.

To reach us by road, turn onto Kenepuru Road from Queen Charlotte Drive at Linkwater. Note the road is very windy, and the last few kilometers are unsealed. Please part at the top carpark, before the gravel driveway down into the resort.

The Kenepuru Road which accesses Punga Cove was affected severely in the 2021 storms, and repair works are ongoing.
Please check online for the current road updates as total or partial closures are frequent.

If you are coming by private boat, we can arrange moorings and tender transfers by request – please contact us.
