Outer Sounds Queen Charlotte Track Special
Enjoy hiking the first two day’s of the Queen Charlotte Track – probably the most enjoyable sections of the Track. Spend two nights at Punga Cove Resort, settled into one of our private chalets, with your own sundeck, unpack your bags just once, and relax and enjoy the ambience of the Outer Sounds.

This package does the planning for you – return water taxi transfers ex Picton, luggage transfers, accommodation in a Studio Chalet for two nights, two dinners including a BBQ at the Boatshed, cooked breakfast on the second and third days, packed lunch.

On the first day, start at Ship Cove and walk to Furneaux Lodge where you can wait for the water taxi that will transfer you across the inlet to Punga Cove (meanwhile your luggage has been taken directly to Punga Cove). Relax in the spa or on your sunny deck before enjoying a traditional Kiwi BBQ at the Boatshed, sitting over the water – who knows, dolphins may appear! The following morning after breakfast, collect your packed lunches, walk to the Kenepuru Saddle lookout, then continue on the Queen Charlotte Track to Furneaux Lodge. Once you have transferred back to Punga Cove in the afternoon, relax, chill out, have a spa, then the three course a la carte dinner in the Punga Fern restaurant. The next morning, return by water taxi to Picton after breakfast.

Horse trekking in the morning – some clients say they have enjoyed this experience more than any other in New Zealand. We will store your luggage and depart by Beachcomber at 4.30pm. Accommodation can be arranged in Picton for you.
